Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Laravel Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in PHP and Laravel and be comfortable building scalable web applications, REST APIs, database-driven systems, and integrating third-party services.
The candidate will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining existing applications, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the frontend and backend development teams.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
-
Develop reusable, clean, and maintainable Laravel code.

Work with MySQL databases, including database design, queries, relationships, indexing, and optimization.

Develop and maintain Laravel controllers, models, migrations, middleware, jobs, events, queues, and services.
-
Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
-
Implement authentication, authorization, roles, and permissions.
-
Identify and resolve application bugs and performance issues.
-
Write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance.
-
Work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control and collaborative development.

Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend APIs with web interfaces.

Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.

Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.

Understand existing legacy PHP/CodeIgniter applications and assist with migration or modernization when required.
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of PHP and Laravel.

Hands-on experience with Laravel 8/9/10/11/12 or recent Laravel versions.

Good knowledge of MySQL and relational database concepts.

Strong understanding of MVC architecture.

Experience developing REST APIs.

Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Experience with AJAX and JSON-based API communication.

Knowledge of Laravel authentication and authorization.

Experience with Git and version control.
-
Good understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
-
Ability to write clean, reusable, and optimized code.
-
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
-
Experience with Laravel Queues, Jobs, Events, Notifications, and Scheduler.

Experience with Redis and caching.

Knowledge of Docker.

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with Vue.js, React.js, or another modern JavaScript framework.

Experience working with payment gateways or third-party API integrations.

Experience working with existing/legacy PHP applications.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Equivalent practical development experience may also be considered.
